故障解释: ADC MiniSetup Fail
故障原因: The difference between the measured values of the 2 patches that changed the density level created during Minisetup is small or their relationship is reversed. (This Fail is a hidden failure and it is registered only in the History)

Influence
As the Image Density Control that uses the ADC Sensor output is not refreshed only for the applicable color when this Fail occurs, image density error (too dark, too light) might occur.
However, as the Toner Density Control that uses the ATC Sensor is operating as usual, the Toner density in the Developer Housing Assy is maintained at the appropriate level. As long as there is no density related image problem in the output image and the Fail does not reoccur after checking for Fail occurrence multiple times, no further action is required.
Fail that should be handled first
Enter DC122 Shutdown History and check the latest Fail that had occurred. If the following Fail is occurring, there is a high possibility that the problem is caused on your side. Please refer to the corresponding FIP and restore it first.
 024-933/940/941: Drum Cartridge Y/M/C Life End
 091-913: Drum Cartridge K Life End
 043-345: YMC Motor Fail (Low/Mid-M model)
 042-347: YMC Drum Motor Fail (Mid-H/High model)
 093-324: YMC Deve Motor Fail (Mid-H/High model)

Image quality trouble that should be handled first
Check the corresponding color image in Print Mode. If the following image quality trouble is
occurring, there is a high possibility that the problem is caused on your side. Please refer to
the corresponding image quality troubleshooting and restore it first.
 Uneven density in surface -> the patch density has changed due to creation position.
 White paper print or low density, specific color close to white paper is light -> Patch is light.
 White/off-color areas, streaks at the FS (vertical) direction center section -> patch position image is light, the patch is also light.
 White/Color fading/Streaks/Parts fading in SS (horizontal) direction -> The Patch on the position where the image is light is light as well.
 Carry over (rough print), Toner smear -> the patch for detection of the darkening of IBT background has mis-detected it as light (K color only).
NOTE
To prevent light-induced fatigue, cover the Drum with a black sheet when removing the Drum Cartridge. In addition, do not touch the Drum surface.
Perform Procon On Print (ADJ 18.1.11) in Service Mode and check the result of [ATC Average Fail], [ATC Amplitude Fail], [Temperature Fail], and [Humidity Fail].
Are all the results OK?
Y N
Go to the appropriate FIP
 ATC Average Fail (092-665/666/667/668)
 ATC Amplitude Fail (092-657/658/659/660)
 EPG Temperature Sensor Fail (041-603)
 EPG Humidity Sensor Fail (041-604)
Check the value of [ADC Measurement Min 2] of the applicable color.
Is the value lower than "50"?
Y N
Is the density of the print normal?
Y N
Perform the following.
 First, take care of any problem that falls under [Image problem that must be resolved first].
 Check the Toner Cartridge of the applicable color for presence of Toner. If there is no Toner in it, replace the Toner Cartridge. (PL 5.2, PL 5.4)
 For the applicable color, check the BCR of the Drum Cartridge or the FS direction center section of the Drum for contamination, foreign matter, damage,
etc. If there is any contamination, foreign matter, damage, etc., replace the Drum Cartridge. (PL 8.1, PL 8.2)
 If the Toner is low at the FS direction center section on the Developer Housing Assembly Mag Roll of the applicable color, or the Toner remains low even after
rotating the Gear in clockwise direction, replace the Developer Housing Assembly. (PL 5.1, PL 5.3)
 Drive the Dispense Motor of the applicable color (DC330 [092-009/010/011/012] (Y/M/C/K)). If the problem persists, replace the Dispense Drive Assembly. (PL
5.2, PL 5.4)
 Check for contamination of the LPH Assembly of the applicable color. If it is contaminated, clean or replace the LPH Assembly. (PL 2.1, PL 2.2)
 Check the connections between each HVPS and the various components for open circuits, short circuits, and poor contacts.
- Between the BCR DEVE HVPS and the BCR and Magnet Roll of the applicable color. (Low model)
- Between the BCR HVPS and the BCR of the applicable color. (Mid/High model)
- Between the DEVE HVPS and the Magnet Roll of the applicable color. (Mid/High model)
- Between the BTR (1st/2nd) HVPS and the 1st BTR of the applicable color.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence: However, each time a parts is replaced, check whether the Fail is still occurring and return the
part if it has no problems.
- BCR DEVE HVPS (Low model) (PL 18.12)
- BCR HVPS (Mid/High model) (PL 18.11)
- DEVE HVPS (Mid/High model) (PL 18.3)
- BTR (1st/2nd) HVPS (PL 18.1, PL 18.4)
Enter Test Pattern Print and print out Cin50% Halftone Image (Pattern No. 9) of the applicable color.
Has any uneven density occurred in SS direction?
Y N
As the density is normal, the measured value at the sensor may be abnormal. Turn OFF the power and check the connection between the Motor Drive PWB J416 and the ADC Sensor (ReC/ADC Sensor Assembly) J153 for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence: However, each time a parts is replaced, check whether the Fail is still occurring and return the part if it has no problems.
 ReC/ADC Sensor Assembly (PL 6.1, PL 6.2)
NOTE
After replacement of ReC/ADC Sensor Assembly, go to the Diag mode and perform DC675 Registration Control Setup Cycle (ADJ 18.1.5) then DC937 Procon
On Print (ADJ 18.1.11) in sequence.
 Motor Drive PWB (PL 18.2, PL 18.5)
Uneven density is the cause. Take action using the appropriate Image FIP or perform the following:
 If the IBT Belt has contamination, foreign matter, or damage, replace the IBT Belt. (PL 6.3)
NOTE
After replacement of IBT Belt, go to the Diag mode and perform DC675 Registration Control Setup Cycle (ADJ 18.1.5) and DC937 Procon On Print (ADJ 18.1.11) in sequence.
 If there is contamination, foreign matter, scratches on the Drum Cartridge of the applicable color, replace the Drum Cartridge. (PL 8.1, PL 8.2)
 Check the connections between each HVPS and the various components for open circuits, short circuits, and poor contacts.
- Between the BCR DEVE HVPS and the BCR and Magnet Roll of the applicable color. (Low model)
- Between the BCR HVPS and the BCR of the applicable color. (Mid/High model)
- Between the DEVE HVPS and the Magnet Roll of the applicable color. (Mid/High model)
- Between the BTR (1st/2nd) HVPS and the 1st BTR of the applicable color.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence: However, each time a parts is replaced, check whether the Fail is still occurring and return the part if it has no problems.
- BCR DEVE HVPS (Low model) (PL 18.12)
- BCR HVPS (Mid/High model) (PL 18.11)
- DEVE HVPS (Mid/High model) (PL 18.3)
- BTR (1st/2nd) HVPS (PL 18.1, PL 18.4)
 Check for contamination of the LPH Assembly of the applicable color. If it is contaminated, clean or replace the LPH Assembly. (PL 2.1, PL 2.2)
No further action is required as ADC Minisetup Fail is more likely to occur when there is a temporary darkening of image density.
However, if the Fail is occurring frequently, replace the parts in the [Replacement Parts List] in sequence.
NOTE
After the replacement of ReC/ADC Sensor Assembly or the IBT Belt, go to the Diag mode and perform DC675 Registration Control Setup Cycle (ADJ 18.1.5) then DC937 Procon On Print (ADJ 18.1.11) in sequence.
