The measurement result of Toner density in the Developer Housing Assembly by the ATC Sensor is abnormal. (This Fail is a hidden failure and it is registered only in the History)To be more specific, the output of the ATC Sensor is abnormal (too large or too small). This could be caused by a malfunctioning ATC Sensor or abnormal Toner density in the Developer Housing Assembly |

Influence
When this Fail occurs, Toner Density Control that uses the ATC Sensor is not performed for the applicable color and ICDC (pixels) based Toner Supply Control is performed instead.
Because of that, if the Fail is allowed to remain for a long time, image density error (too dark, too light) might occur. Furthermore, there might be an instant drop in image density if this is caused by the Developer Housing Assy.
Fail that should be handled first
Enter DC122 Shutdown History and check the latest Fail that had occurred. If the following Fail is occurring, there is a high possibility that the problem is caused on your side. Please refer to the corresponding FIP and restore it first.
092-657/658/659/660: ATC Amplitude Fail Y/M/C/K
024-923/924/925: Toner Cartridge Y/M/C Empty
093-912: Toner Cartridge K Empty
043-345: YMC Motor Fail (Low/Mid-M model)
093-324: YMC Deve Motor Fail (Mid-H/High model)
042-324: K_IBT Motor Fail
Image quality trouble that should be handled firstCheck the corresponding color image in Print Mode. If the following image quality trouble is occurring, there is a high possibility that the problem is caused on your side. Please refer to the corresponding image quality troubleshooting and restore it first.
Carrier spill -> this could be due to carrier in the developing powder leaking out to the image section.
Carry over (rough print) -> this could be due to a reduction in the amount of developing powder.
Toner smear -> this could be due to dark Toner density of the developing powder.

NOTE
To prevent light-induced fatigue, cover the Drum with a black sheet when removing the Drum.
In addition, do not touch the Drum surface.
Perform Procon On Print (ADJ 18.1.11) in Service Mode and check the result of [ATC Average Fail].
Are all the results OK?

Check the [Measured ATC Amplitude] value of the applicable color.
NOTE
Although this is an investigation of ATC Average Fail, this judgment uses the information of [Measured ATC Amplitude].
Is the value "20" or higher?
Y N
There is a possibility of ATC Sensor abnormality. Turn OFF the power and disconnect the power plug. Check the applicable color connections for open circuit, short
circuit, and poor contact.
