Cause/Action
Check the following:
The Sonic Sensor (DC330 [005-194]) for operation failure. (PL 54.8, PL 54.16)
NOTE
When multi-feed document is at the Sonic Sensor as the IO Check (DC330 [005-194]) turned ON, it becomes [Low]. At other times when there is only 1 sheet or no document, it becomes [High]. However, the NVM [711-250] (Enable/Disable Multi-feed Detection Function) must be [1: Kit available].
NOTE
The value for Multi-feed Detection that is received during IO Check is stored in the NVM [711-253] (Multi-feed Detection Diag Result). If the received value is lower than the value of NVM [711-259] (Multi-feed Detection Threshold Adjustment), it will be judged as a Multi-Feed.
The connection between the AMP PWB J767 and the DADF PWB J761 for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact.
The connection between the AMP PWB J771A and the Sonic Sensor Transmit J774 for
open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact.
The connection between the AMP PWB J776 and the Sonic Sensor Receive J764 for
open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact.
The Sonic Sensor for foreign matter.
If no problem is found, it may be due to a Sonic Sensor mismatch (the combination of the transmitter and receiver sensors is different). ADJ 54.1.9 Refer to and adjust the position of the DADF Multi-feed Detection Sensor.
If the problem persists, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 54.3, PL 57.4) |
